Bakalska Kosa

Wherever you come from to Crimea there are only two ways (land communication is implied) – through Novooleksiyivka, or through Armiansk. Let us begin our trip from the west of the ancient Tauris. After passing Krasnoperekopsk we turn towards Ishun-Vorontsovka-Rozdolne. It is about 70 km. to the nearest stop, where you can spend the night in a tent (auto-travelers to Crimea should have necessary attributes of non-official tourism with them). It is 140 km. to Chornomorsk, where you can put up at a hotel. Route is not wide, but rather free of traffic. In the village of Sterehusche we turn towards Bakalska Kosa (Spit), where non-official holiday-makers organize a tent township in summer.

The road to Cape Pischanyi (Sandy) is not of a high quality so don’t be in a hurry. Near the tourist camp there are small shops, cafe, garbage containers, toilets… The sea is wonderful, the beach is sandy.
