The small district town of Murovani Kurylivtsi was first mentioned in documents in 1493. Its major architectural gem is the palace of the landowner A. Komar. Construction work started in the late 18 th century. Near the palace the famous gardener of English descent, D. Mikkler, laid out a wonderful park. The building of the palace and park was completed in 1805. Because of a specific relief of the landscape the palace has two stories on one side, and a socle and four stories on the side of the slope from where you can see a magnificent view of the Zhvan River. During Soviet times it was a sanatorium.
